A detailed description of the process flow follows. A physician logs in to the company server. While logged-in he uploads the digital audio file to the company server. The IT Controller then retrieves this audio file and distributes it to the team leaders. The team leaders then gives the audio file to the medical transcriptionist for transcription. After transcription, the medical transcriptionist then returns it to the team leader for initial proof reading. He then submits it to the senior editor for second-level proof reading. After all pertinent corrections have been made, the transcribed file is sent back to the IT Controller for uploading to the company’s server. Once uploaded, a notification is sent to the sending physician that the transcribed file is ready for retrieval.
